It all started with a night out to see Shannon & Thee Clams at ye olde Knock-Out. Their whole set was sizzling, but there was one song they played in particular that rubbed me just the right way. So the next morning, on a trip to the City Clinic, I borrowed a few of Shannon's opening notes, and the rest poured out like a pre-formed chanson de geste, with Lady Feather cast as the Heroine-Villainess, because even then she was, in a nutshell: offensive, abrasive, aggressive, arrogant, and too-fucking-cool-for-school to care about who she stepped on or who she hurt in fulfilling her maniacal ambitions. Only I didn't see that until I was hiding in a corner crying about it. Veilleicht es war das anti-bebe pillulen?! Ich weiss es nicht..... What I do know is that, with the practice room occupied, I imbibed a couple caps and a stem and went to town playing fucked up guitar like Keith Richard(s) high on who-knows-what, and I felt very fortunate that I played it this well, knowing full well that it didn't need to be any better than that. And when late one night the cleaning crew heard my hollering from down the hall, they sent in Officer Ed to check my progress (and credentials). Everything checked out -- he knew I was authorized, but had absolutely no idea how enraged I was (I kept it well hid), and as he departed to go bust pot-smokers in the dorm, I hit hash out of a pen-pipe and continued to develop this absurd dirge to someone I came to realize I truly, truly despised in every way possible.... How is that possible?
lyrics
Oh when I met her last winter
I took a sip from her lovin' cup
Until she said I had to quit her
The scale had tipped
And I couldn't get enough
She can't be satisfied
And she's never wrong
Come come, she comin' in strong tonight
She wears a bad-locket locket
Of secret spells that nobody knows
She keeps her hand in my pocket
So she can tell
When I was ready to go
And when the lights go down
She'll go all night long
Come come, she comin' in strong tonight
Now I got a clearer indication
How I fell for her infatuation
Bow to the mistress of temptation
She said, "Ooh....."
But who can really blame her
When she's so young?
Come come, she comin' in strong tonight!
